[Reed Smoot] He was reelected as senator in 1908, 1914, 1920, and 1926, and served from 4 March 1903 to 3 March 1933.

    Smoot was defeated by a landslide in the Nov.1932 election as shown below:

    Elbert D. Thomas (Democratic), 56.7% (served until Mar.1951).
    Reed Smoot (Republican), 41.7%
