The bold and plain truth was that the entire quorum of 12 had apostatized because of their secret practice of the abomination of plural marriage.
ReplyDeleteOf the remaining men from the then current 15, only Sidney Rigdon refused to partake of the abomination of polygamy, which is the main reason why the Lord chose him, and then William Bickerton, as the successors to Joseph Smith in the Church Presidency.

ReplyDeleteOf course 2nd Counselor in the Church presidency William Law was also vehemently anti-polygamy, but he was an ex'd. member of the Church (Apr.1844).
