  1. Q. Show us where in the scriptures (KJV,BOM) it says to ordain women into the priesthood?

    A. We can't find any scriptures!

  2. There are mentions of deaconesses, prophetesses, etc... in the scriptures

  3. Very true! BUT they are NOT part of the ordained priesthood per Ephesians 4:11-13. We have always had both deaconesses and prophetesses in The Church of Jesus Christ (WHQ: Monongahela, Pennsylvania). We ordain deaconesses and deacons as tremendous helpers to the priesthood, but not in the priesthood. We do not ordain anyone, whether man or woman, as prophets or prophetesses. Instead we have always ACKNOWLEDGED them as prophets or prophetesses. These are very rare individuals who have the gift of prophecy in such a great abundance and continuity that the entire Church including the leadership recognizes them as such. They are very rare and precious saints. Hopefully, this gift of the Spirit will increase in the church in the days and years ahead.

  4. deacons, deaconesses, and teachers are all NON-Priesthood.

elders (aka, pastors, bishops), evangelists (70), and apostles (12) are the one and only one priesthood after the order of the Son of God.

  5. Romans 16:

[1] I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant [Greek "diakonos"; English "deaconess"] of the church which is at Cenchrea:

[2] That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer [helper] of many, and of myself also.

[3] Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers [deaconesses] in Christ Jesus:

[4] Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

[5] Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

[6] Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.

[7] Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note AMONG [NOT "in"] the [quorum of 12] apostles, who also were in Christ before me. [the 12 apostles had been told of the good works of A & J by Paul].

[8] Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord.

[9] Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ [deacon], and Stachys my beloved.

  6. Could be the LDS Church is going to split someday over these issues (OWP, SSM) just as the RLDS did back in 1984 when about 20,000 or more of them departed and formed their own churches (Restoration Branches,etc.).

  7. OWP >>> SSM >>> uniting with the G&A Church >>> ultimate destruction.

  8. Can you provide clear examples of women being prohibited from the priesthood in the scriptures?

  9. The priesthood is after the order of the SON of God [not the DAUGHTER of God]. (Alma 13).

Jesus Christ, who said 'I am the law' (3 Ne.15:9), ordained 12 MEN as apostles, and later "70 other" MEN as evangelists.

Also, Apostle Paul stated, "I suffer not [i.e., prohibit or forbid] a women to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man,..." (1 Tim.2:12).

All these scriptures are consistent. The Lord commands that only men are to be in His holy priesthood.

Just because the word of God does not state something prohibitive does not negate and never can negate what the Lord DOES indeed plainly state about that same thing.

Have you been excommunicated from the LDS Church?

    1. I can't see a prohibition of priesthood from women in those verses.

  10. My personal religious status has nothing to do with whether scripture bans women from the priesthood.
